“ Best Chippy in town and lowest prices around! The food is always hot and freshly cooked in front of you. The staff always greet you with a smile, and the service is at its top. Love the fish, chips, peas, and curry, but the menu is wide and offers all the traditional chippy meals. Holland's pies on display, heated up properly and not by microwave. Inside the shop is also very clean and the smell very appetising, you can tell they fry in clean fresh oil. It's not just recommended, but UNMISSABLE if you are in Clitheroe! ”

“ This chippy serves the best quality fish and chips for quite some miles. The fish portions are of good quality and size; the batter is crisp, not too thick or heavy, not greasy. The chips are firm, not soggy, not too thick or thin. (I would suggest one portion of chips between two people, unless you're extra hungry.) The shop is small but clean and bright, the service polite and friendly, and it is generally possible to park almost outside the door. Not necessarily the cheapest but definitely the best value for money. ”

“ Just an amazing local chippy that’s steeped in history. The food was amazing, coming home after a long day we were craving a chippy tea. We weren’t disappointed either. The fish is so fresh, was battered in front of our very eyes and then fried. Chips were actually good old fashioned chips and not the knock off frozen American fries. For the veggies out there, yes the gravy is veggie and it’s amazing on the chips. The menu is actually quite varied and they do a lot lot more than just the standard fish and chips, but alas we’ll have to experiment a bit next time. The current owners also knows a lot about the history and traditions of the shop that dates back well over 100 years. ”

“ Great fish and chips of the traditional nature. Only haddock on offer as a fish option but it was delicious! Northern England favourite, potato scallops also available, if you haven't tried one you really should! Highly recommended. ”

“ You can only have food for take away. The chips and the fish had a really good seasoning and it wasn't oily. ”
